The owner of the Whitby Surf School - Sam Pepler has had over 18 years experience in the UK and also 9 years experience as an instructor. 

As Whitby Surf School cater for surfing lessons for beginners all the way up to intermediate level, if you fancy trying a new sport while on holiday, then this could be the sport for you. 

They provide tailor made lessons for groups or individuals, making it perfect for those of you who are just looking to see if this is the sport for them.

You don't have to worry about hiring or borrowing any equipment to try surfing as Whitby Surf School provide a winter wetsuits, hoods, gloves and boots to keep you nice and warm in the North Sea! They also provide the correct boards of the appropriate size and volume for your learning experience. 

The staff have experience with working with children and have all been DBS checked, RLSS Beach Life Guards, Surfing GB and WSA trained they use the best equipment in the business. 

There are different lessons that you can try. You can try: basic lesson, private lesson, open lesson, juniors for the children, school lesson, corporate groups or surf parties!

Surf lessons last for 2 hours and all equipment is provided. A beginner surf lesson costs £25pp, group lesson (6 attending as minimum) £20pp, junior surf club £10pw or junior surf camp U18's (5 lessons in total) £100pp.

SUP (Stand Up Paddle) lessons are: SUP beginner £30pp, SUP Safari (various locations) £35pp

You can also hire equipment to: Surfboard £7.00 - £15.00, Wetsuit £7.00 - £15.00, Bodyboard £3.00 - £8.00, SUP £10.00 - £30.00, Kayak (single seater) £15.00 - £30.00 and Kayak (double seater) £25.00 - £40.00.
