Scooter Rally Returns

Easter 2016 sees the return to Whitby of a very popular event, one which we share with Scarborough, and many other towns across the country!  Yes, the SCOOTER RALLY is returning!!

After a year away from us (as Scarborough had it last year) the Rally returns for yet another spectacular event.  As in previous years the town will become over-run with mods and scooters, in various colours and modes of decoration.  And with these come the hoards of crowds that follow them everywhere!  Whitby will yet again be overflowing with vibrant people all out to have a good time.

The rally in Whitby sees the start of the 2016 Scooter rally season, so we have a lot to do to get it off to a good start!  As usual most venues across town will be playing music associated with the MOD scene, so no matter where you go, you will get wrapped up in the excitement and entertainment of the weekend!  As you can see, the year kicks off in Whitby over Easter, from Friday 25th March through until Monday 28th March.  Across the weekend you can see many of the scooters on display up on the West Cliff area of Whitby, down by the band stand as well as along many of the streets throughout Whitby.  It truly is an amazing scene and definitely worth paying a visit whether you're into the whole MOD scene or not!  There will also be a parts fair and custom show on at the Whitby Pavilion on Saturday 26th March from 10.30am.  The Pavilion is also having entertainment on on both Friday night and Saturday night, with Rhoda Dakar aka The Bodysnatchers playing on the Friday night, with The Northern Soul Elite playing on the Saturday night.  There will also be several DJ's playing across the weekend throughout the Pavilion.  If you wander into the town at all you will find that most of the pubs will also be playing MOD music and getting into the spirit of the weekend.  

And it is not just in town that you will see these wonderful scooters, if you are lucky enough to be staying with us over the Easter Weekend, you may just spot several that are stopping here with us at Whitby Holiday Park.  Unfortunately we no longer have room on our touring field as we are already fully booked due to this popular event being back in Whitby, but we do still have a few last minute static caravans available to hire if you have not found somewhere to stay yet!  We are ideally situated to enjoy this wonderful event as we are only a 20 minute walk along the Cleveland Way footpath to the Abbey and into town.  Perfect if you want to have a wander around and enjoy the atmosphere and have a pint or two!
