Whitby Holiday Park, today announced that it has received a TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence award. The accolade, which honours hospitality excellence, is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor, and is extended to qualifying businesses worldwide. Establishments awarded the Certificate of Excellence are located all over the world and represent the upper echelon of businesses listed on the website.

When selecting Certificate of Excellence winners, TripAdvisor uses a proprietary algorithm to determine the honourees that takes into account reviews ratings.  Businesses must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, volume and recency of reviews. Additional criteria include a business’ tenure and popularity ranking on the site.

Whether you are a beginner or a pro at photography all pictures taken capture a moment from a time in your life. 

With Whitby Holiday Park being right on the coast, what better place to take some holiday snaps! If you like taking scenic shots then we are located at a lovely part of the Cleveland Way, with walks to Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay there is sure to be some breathtaking views for you to photograph.

Random family shots are great to look back at to remember the fantastic times you had on your holiday with us. 

With our coastline full of heritage you can take photo's of everything from the Whale Bones on the West Cliff of Whitby, to Saltwick Nab just off the Holiday Park and all the way down the coast to Robin Hoods Bay where you can look for all the smugglers tunnels from years gone by. Not forgetting the majestic Whitby Abbey just a short walk away.

Or when you have a family night in our Family Club don't forget to take your camera with you. You can take shots of the family and of the entertainment that is on to hold onto the memories of your wonderful British Summer holiday!!

Beamish - The Living Museum of the North!

If you are looking for something to do on a day out then why not travel a little further North for the day and visit Beamish!

Here you can take a tram ride and revisit the 1820's, 1910's and 1940's! With lots of other things to explore from The Town, Pit Village, Pockerley Old Hall and Waggonway.

With 350 acres of beautiful countryside surrounding the working museum, you have lots of scenery to take in and explore!

While you are at Beamish there are lots of fascinating buildings, shops and homes to look around. You will come across costumed folk who will meet you on your way around Beamish, as they bring to life the history of time gone by. 

You will be able to practice your handwriting on a slate, ride on a steam train, and knead dough in the Bakery. 

Sampling traditional food cooked on a range is not to missed! from fish and chips to freshly baked bread and cakes there is something for everyone to eat!

This makes a fantastic day out for all the family. So don't forget your camera so that you can capture those precious family memories too!

After your day out you can head on back to the Holiday Park and relax in your own surroundings of your caravan, or head on down to the Family Club on site for some evening entertainment or a relaxing drink or two!
