PET FRIENDLY ACCOMMODATION

As we are becoming more popular with pet lovers we are pleased to say that we have increased our pet friendly accommodation.

All our pet friendly accommodation come with double glazing and central heating, so if its a bit cool on an evening everyone including your beloved pets can stay nice and warm!

We are ideally located for those of you that like to come to this area to go walking, and its perfect for taking your dogs along for the walk with you! 

Our pet friendly accommodation comprises of a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a pull out bed in the lounge area. There is a full kitchen with all your crockery and cutlery that you will need for your stay with us.

There are no restrictions for dog walking on Park, all we ask is that you keep your dog on a lead at all times and that you pick up after them.

Fishing Festivals in Whitby

Fishing Festivals in Whitby 

Every year at Whitby, the local charter skippers hold 4 angling festivals spread right across the fishing season.

In the spring festival anglers descend on Whitby from far and wide to target cod and pollack whilst competing for the first prize of £1000 cash.

In June and July the skippers hold their second and largest festival of the year.

Most species are on offer at Whitby at this time of year but cod and ling often make up the mainstay of the large fish species.

Anglers compete for a first place cash prize of £5000 awarded to the captor of the single heaviest fish over the festival.

The late summer festival takes place in September. Big lings and large cod are on offer at this time of year with fish over 30lb often winning the first place prize money of £1000 cash.

More recently winter uptiding (Fishing at anchor) has become popular with the regions boat anglers.

Two years ago the skippers decided to run a winter uptiding festival at Whitby and it became an instant success with anglers coming from every end of the country to take part in the event.

The dates for 2014 are as follows:

• Spring – April 5th – April 20th
• Summer – 21st June – 13th July
• Autumn – 13th – 28th September
• Uptiding Festival – Dates To Be Announced

So for all you fishing fanatics out there, why not get yourselves booked in to stay with us here at Whitby Holiday Park, whether it be in your touring caravan or in one of our static caravans. 

We have everything on site that you could possibly want to have a relaxing evening after a long days fishing.  We have a Club House on site which has a fully licensed bar so you can come back and have a few pints, before strolling back to your caravan....or if you are wanting a bite to eat, why not get a pizza to take away from the cafe and enjoy in the comfort of your caravan.

Victorian Weekend at Robin Hoods Bay

Victorian Weekend

The first Robin Hood’s Bay Victorian Weekend was held in 1994. Initially created to promote business in the village in the traditionally quiet period prior to Christmas, the event has been staged annually and has grown larger each year.

Typically held the first weekend in December, the event gives all visitors and residents the opportunity to dress up in traditional Victorian costume. The village also benefits from a flurry of Christmas decorations from lights to window dressings, Christmas trees and festive wreaths.

The Victorian Weekend is organised by a group of hard-working volunteers who stage this weekend for the benefit of everyone, generating business for the local economy and hopefully raising money for local organisations. The Committee works very hard all year to stage this event.

The 2012 Victorian Weekend went ahead smoothly and the weather, although cold, the sun did shine and was kinder than the previous years. There were more indoor events for people to enjoy and a good weekend was had by all. We hope you can join us for the 2013 event.

This event is held over the dates 6th, 7th and 8th December 2013 

So why not come along and enjoy the festive atmosphere and call and visit us at the same time here at Whitby Holiday Park. With some lovely scenic walks along the cliff top overlooking Saltwick Bay.

The Goths have arrived here at Whitby Holiday Park.

There are some fantastic costumes to be seen and everyone is joining in the spirit of it and every year it seems to get bigger.

People come for the weekend from all different places and get together every year.  We welcome all Goths and hope you all return again.

Whitby Abbey is all illuminated at the moment for Halloween and Goth weekend and it's stunning to see by night, It's well worth a drive over just to have a look at it.
